Tochal Ski Resort, An Adventurer’s Dream

Tochal is a part of Damavand mountain and has a rich history behind it. Damavand is mentioned in many epics like Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh. It is said that the legendary bird Simorgh looked after Zaal (father of Rostam who is the main character in Shahnameh) in Damavand mountain. Another Iconic legend is that Zahhak (the most evil character in Iranian Folklore) is still in bounds inside Damavand and locals can hear his horrifying roars until now.
