On this trip, you will have the chance to stay with a local family from a village in Bushehr Province, in the south of Iran. We have the honor to show you the most beautiful salt mountain in the middle east and one of the most beautiful ones in the world which has been a high potential candidate to be a UNESCO Heritage Site in Iran recently. You can’t find such a mountain in other parts of the world. Besides the beauties of the tour, you can eat delicious homemade foods, enjoy live traditional music, and bake your own bread. You can also gaze at the starry night sky with a telescope.
Mountain and waterfall salt originates from under-mountain reservoirs. The mountain springs carry salt with them to the nearby lowlands. For this reason, there are rivers with a high concentration of salt around the mountain. The high density of salt in high altitudes can create “salt falls” due to precipitation of salt dripping from salt waterfalls. On account of climate change, they tend to have diverse shapes. There are well over 200 caves with bats living in them. Enormous chandeliers are part of the beauty of the caves. Cave gates keep collapsing which can be dangerous at times. There are colorful stratifications formed from compositions of salt, metal, and minerals. Clear sharp colorful crystals are other attractions of the mountain.

Hiking Jashak Salt Mountain. Sightsee salt waterfalls/rivers and

The tour starts and ends in Anarestan, about 3 hours or 220 km (140 mi) southeast of Bushehr.
