Overview

Tang-e Bazaz Khaneh

Bazaz Khaneh Canyon is located in Southern foothills of Paraw Mountain near Kermanshah City. So, we start the trip from Kermanshah and move to Chalabeh Village, an indigenous natural site where is the usual beginning way to Paraw Mountain. Many mount climbers come to the same place to start their exciting challenge toward Paraw Cave, which is one of the longest vertical caves of the world. In addition to eye-catching landscapes, it also has a delightful climate without air pollution.

Chalabeh is wooded especially by oak trees, various plants and wildflowers, which some even have curative efficacy. while hearing the birds’ singing among the great mountain and towering trees, it’s a nice idea to have the breakfast in this heavenly dreamlike site. There are 88 ways to Bazaz Khaneh Canyon, which their physical rates range starts from 5.10, the most difficult way has 5.14 physical rate, named Wolf Route. We choose one way and move to Bazaz Khaneh Canyon.

As we get to the canyon, lots of small and big caves grab our attention and after 45 minutes mountaineering, rock climbing gets started. We should mention that it’s a real potential area for this exhilarating sport and they call it the paradise of rock climbers. We can have lunch in one of the caves and get the impression of how Neanderthals were living thousands of years ago. It’s even fun to have a talk in such a natural cozy place. If everyone is still perky, we can go on more rock climbing and take a look at the Paraw Cave, which is over the Kermanshah’s highest climax with 3050 meters height in the south of Zagros Mountain Range.

There are 26 wells in the cave and the deepest one is about 42 meters. The water is very cold there, as it’s melt from groundwater resources and the temperature is about 3 degree Celsius. There’s a 3-meter basin at the end of the cave but the issue is that the difficulty to pass this cave and the physical rate is so high. So, we probably visit the entrance and pass it. Finally, we come down the mount and drive to Kermanshah. Definitely, you will relish this fun adventurous trip and get a lot of energy out of it.

tappersia is great!

We were the first to be picked up at our hotel and stopped for others to get ready. Our guide gave us a history talk about Irn as we were driving and spoke about Kermanshah too. It took about an hour to get to the canyon. We stopped for photos and our guide was so nice, he offered to take photos. Bazaz Khaneh Canyon was brilliant. We had the opportunity to visit Zagros Mountain. See and even climb a little too. Tappersia is great. Our guide was wonderful and it was lovely to explore Kermanshah . We would definitely recommend this tour!
